As part of an ongoing project with Cold Feet Foundation I'll be looking at traditional Nepalese culture in the Dhading district. Located an hour and a half’s drive from neighbouring Kathmandu, it also is bounded by the Gorka and Nuwakot districts.
With a largely agricultural economy, and many of the more remote regions largely untouched by western tourism the region offers a unique insight into the vibrant traditional cultural aspects of Nepali life. The region suffered significant damage following the 25th April Earthquake, however life remains much the same, with the population very much getting on with day to day life. I hope to show that Dhading’s rich culture, stunning landscapes and beautiful people are well worth a visit.
